Same problems as others. Re-solder wires back on to motors a few times. Got it on Ebaye, a waste of time, money, etc...... Solar panel needs direct sunlight at 90 degree angle only

Don't go near this with a 10 foot barge pole. a complete waste of money unless you have some chinese junk on hand. Don't do it! This rating system won't allow 0 stars but I tried.

I am surprised that this kit was not tested first by someone at Maker Shed; this level of build quality would really reflect poorly upon Maker Shed.
We thought this would make a quick, easy starter kit that could possibly help demonstrate/explain about motors, solar energy and robots... don't waste your time on this. The included solar panels are too small and barely produce enough energy to power the motors unless you use a very direct, bright (hot) light source. The spring connectors are wound so tightly that it's impossible to pry them open in order to insert the wires in addition the the wires are so fragile and small in diameter they always snapped or split into pieces. The images do not really illustrate how small these plastic toys are. You're better off skipping this... it's almost not even worth the effort to strip it for spare parts.
