Response to a rather angry reviewer: If I were to write a review that rates a product on the merits of the product's distributor, what would my review actually approach? Not anything related to the product! At best there is a somewhat explicable expression of ire (though it's object is incorrect) and at worst an absolute confusion on the utility of product reviews as some platform to promulgate invectives against a supplier. Rather silly and infantile. Please excuse the comments concerning a wayward post, but if MAKE won't address and protect their own brand or defend TI and Circuitco in this instance then, I will! because the review I respond to is bombastic! Now to the product and obfuscating the lame reviewer's attacks against MAKE and in proxy Circuitco; I bought this product and I am very happy with the cape.
Ignore sensationalism of others, and if you do happen to have an issue with the board, well, talk to the board manufacturer and don't bash a distributor.

BeagleBone DVI-D Cape --Dead Dog Delivered To Me

First, I purchased a lot of products from Make Shed and I'm an experienced builder and electronics repairman. I received two capes, which out of the box one was broke and the other later failed to work with a new monitor (DVI capable). I have an ESD mating and a good ground system. I wasted an entire night troubleshoot both units. My beaglebones both work, my monitor, and HDMI to DVI -D cables also work, so these units are defective. The online notes do not even mention what to do if something goes wrong. I googled for help, checked the beagleboard.org site, and I went as far as to ask a question on the IRC chat---basically no help what so ever!!! I not sure if there are known issues with the capes. What a waste of $50 bucks each!
