This bundle includes a few more components than the Getting Started with Arduino Kit (like a Maker Shield) but not nearly as many as the Ultimate Microcontroller Pack (making it cost less.) This is the perfect kit for the tinkerer that doesn't want to spend a lot of money.

Note: This kit does not include a USB cable. Also, the Maker Shield requires basic soldering skills and equipment.

This seems to be a cool way to get started with Arduino, until you unwrap it on Christmas and realize there is NO USB CABLE. so rather than a quick launch, you have a slow simmer, while you ponder the odd omission of the obvious.
I did go and recheck the description and realize that in my Christmas shopping frenzy I failed to note the fine print in which we are notified that there is no USB cable. I would have GLADLY paid the extra buck or two to have the 'quick launch' kit actually launch!

I am a beginner Arduino user and am excited to own this one of a kind set.
When I opened the box I found I was missing the Transparent Solderless Breadboard.

Two days later MakerSHED shipped to me missed items! Nice service!

after s& h i paid $94 and some change i got all the components with the exception on the arduino its self.  I tried to call customer service but no one answers... really bumbed because i was looking forward to makeing some things but the main thing i need isnt in the box
