This was my first soldering I've ever done. Was able to successfully complete the project with the online instructions. I'd like to see improved instructions, and perhaps something more educational about what's going on.
Oh wait, the Power LED is not working :( and I have NO clue how to trouble-shoot this thing.
Other than that, it was super fun. :D

The instructions are only available from a url on a sheet that came with the kit. The site has no link. Had to add a jumper from R20 to the speaker for it to work. Knowledge of resister color values are assumed.
Why wasn't a 7805 or 7806 used so a 9V battery could be used? The 4 pack AA carrier removed much elegance this kit could have had. A 9V battery glued to the underside would have been nicer.
Be very careful about installing the 1/2W resister or thermistor. You breath on the thermistor is what blows out the candles. I found I has to let the thermistor warm for a minute before it worked. Otherwise these are nasty trick candle to blow out.
