Description How To More Details

The Arduino Mega is the latest micro-controller from the Arduino team. The Mega is built around the ATmega1280. It's perfect for anyone looking for more room for code or to be able to control a lot more LEDs, sensors, servos, or motors. It has 54 digital input/output pins (of which 14 can be used as PWM outputs), 16 analog inputs, 4 UARTs. Another great feature is the Arduino Mega is compatible with most shields designed for the Arduino Duemilanove or Diecimila. Arduino is a tool for making computers that can sense and control more of the physical world than your desktop computer. It's an open source physical computing platform based on a simple micro-controller board, and a development environment for writing software for the board.

Niiiiiice... June 10, 2009
Reviewer: Jay Bryon from Oakland, CA United States
I actually started my microcontroller adventures with the "Wiring" module, which is the bigger stepbrother to arduino, but since this is also using the same physical header platform as the regular arduino (plus more headers of course) it's even better.  I picked it up at maker faire 09, took it home, tested it with Arduino 16, and it worked first time.  I really like the auto-reload when you upload a sketch as well!  Another improvement over the Wiring board.  This is likely going to become the brain of a robot/sculpture I've had in mind for some time.  (Taking over world optional).

AMAZING!!! May 10, 2009

If i could rate this above 5 stars it gets a 100+ and the shipping time was amazing! standard USPS was in Illinois from CA in 2 days i was amazed! I am running my bard on a MacBook and i must say it is a very easy board to learn how to use and it teaches you allot. I had old LCD's laying around doing nothing and learned how to make them run.
