Want to get started with e-textiles? The ProtoSnap LilyPad Development Board includes everything you need – right down to needles and thread. Because all the components come already hooked together, you'll be able to explore the possibilities of the components before snapping them apart and building your project.

Your e-textile creations will be able to sense and react to light, temperature, and touch with LEDs, buzzers, and vibrating motors. The Arduino-based Lilypad Simple Board acts as the brains for your project and can be programmed using the included FTDI interface. The Lilypad board also has an integrated charging circuit for the included LiPo battery to ensure you’re never left in the dark.

LilyPad is a wearable e-textile technology developed by Leah Buechley. Each LilyPad was creatively designed to have large connecting pads to allow them to be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They're even washable!
