Bad out of the box, I hope I can RMA March 24, 2012
Reviewer: from ,
When I opened the package, I noticed the red LEDs were solid. I press the on button and they cut off and come back on to solid red. No sequence, no sound. Nothing. Great QC. Glad I bought them from Makershed, because if I had bought from their web site there are no refunds. Why would they do that unless they were selling $40 junk? Be careful with this one.

Interesting experience, dead battery on arrival December 9, 2011
Reviewer: Jim M from Cary, NC
I was excited to get the glasses, but the included battery was dead. Fortunately I had some spare CR2032 batteries from where I had made LED throwies. Once I got a good battery in the glasses, I found the light too bright, but I used the included stickers to dim the light a bit. I also thought the sound was too loud so I wore the headphones a little off my ears. The experience was sort of trippy and almost overwhelming. Will try it a few more times, but I expect it will be limited fun.

Trippy December 5, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from ,
Will definitely stimulate the brain but please be forewarned that if the battery isn't charged enough then they will lock-up at some point in the sequence and never turn off.  Only when I replaced the installed battery did the glasses finish a full cycle and shut themselves off.

Broke after fewer than 30 uses, no refund/exchange November 16, 2011
Reviewer: Mrs. H from Huntington Beach, CA United States
I enjoyed these for the few times I was able to use them. They broke after about 3 months and fewer than 30 uses under normal circumstances (no drunken trip parties-just used quietly at home and stored on a shelf).
The last few times I used them, the lights and sounds turned on and stayed on steadily (no flashing). If I squeezed the battery pack, it would correct itself. On last use, part-way through the cycle the sound messed up and the flashing stopped. I took them off and set them aside, assuming a dying battery. However, about 24 hours later the glasses were still on (auto off didn't work). I replaced the battery, the lights flashed briefly and then stayed on steadily again. No flashing, no sound, no turning off. I had the glasses for over the 30-day warranty period, but hoped that since I had only used them a few times that the manufacturer would repair or replace them. When I emailed them, they did not respond. So I'm left with a $40 piece of junk.

Highly Effective December 16, 2009
Reviewer: Dave P from MN United States
I use these during my lunch break and when I get home from work.  I used to be quite tired in the afternoons, but now I return from lunch refreshed and energized.  They have definitely increased my productivity.  Trip glasses also help me to relax and unwind in the evening.  They are a great stress reducer.  Highly recommended!

Trip Glasses rule! September 22, 2009
Reviewer: Legzz from Austin, TX United States
These things are the best way you could possibly spend $40! They are one of the most unique, amazing, wonderful things I have ever seen. They don't make you see unicorns and rainbows, they MAKE YOUR BRAIN MEDITATE! That is amazing! It didn't work very well the first time I tried it, but when I tried it again it was a totally different experience and from then on I was hooked... It definitely does make you see and hear all kinds of weird trippy stuff. They look super awesome too, especially when you watch someone else do it! Totally amazing, Mitch is a genius!

Fantastic and Simply Awesome. September 14, 2009
Reviewer: Dan Salvato from Princeton Junction, NJ United States
Please do NOT listen to anyone who claims this product does not work. Those who think an SLM is the same as, say, an LSD trip, will be the ones disappointed with this product. When it comes to meditative states, what generally happens is the more you put yourself into them, the better they get as you become more experienced in isolating your mind from the world around you.

Anyway, for those who understand a thing about meditation, this product is fantastic. It feels relaxing and wonderful, and my friends all love it, too. Of course, I built my own before these were manufactured, and if you're a tech person, I STRONGLY recommend you do the same. (Search "brain machine.") If you have a hard time relaxing or you're just looking for a wonderful experience, buy this now (or build your own!).
