Our Price: $99.95
The Arduino Duemilanove has been upgraded to a more powerful microcontroller: the ATmega328. It's fully compatible with the previous ATmega168, but with twice the memory. Herbie the Mousebot is a very quick, easy-to-build, light-chasing robot kit, perfect for beginners. When finished, these little robots are so quick, you have to run to keep up to them; we found that out the hard way when one got loose in the warehouse! Twitchie is a lifelike animated armature that's Arduino-powered and preprogrammed, making it an excellent kit for beginners in robotics. Recommended for young makers (both boys & girls) interested in robotics or in bringing plush toys to life.

MAKE Magazine has featured several neat robot projects, and we're proud that Solarbotics has created a cool bundle kit for completing them. It's got all the electronic parts for Mousey the Junkbot (MAKE Volume 02), Trimet (Volume 06), Solarroller (Volume 06), and Beetlebot (Volume 12). Save more than $20 compared to buying these kits separately. This little robot is tough! Run by a single motor, he walks with a decidedly "angry" pace. If he falls over, he picks himself up again! An awesome design with an amazing gear mechanism, he will not quit! The SolarSpeeder was designed using ideas gathered from many years of Solaroller racing at the BEAM Robot games.
Solarengine Kit Solarengine Upgrade Kit Solarbotics Gearmotor GM_2
Our Price: $25.00
Our Price: $35.00
Our Price: $5.50
This easy-to-construct kit takes light energy and turns it into bursts of motor movement. Want a way to get started in electronics, and turn junk into something cool? Use the BEAM design philosophy of making it solar-powered for really long life! High performance, SCC3733-MSE version. These impressive 224:1 gearmotors are very comparable to a hobby servo for power, at a fraction of the cost! This motor offers 50 in*oz of torque, rotating 360 degrees every 1.6 seconds (38 rpm - just a hair slower than a servo), at 5V, drawing 600mA at stall (free running at 52mA).
