The grossest, smelliest, nastiest science kit we've ever sold. Ever. Other than some common household items, the Microbe Motel includes everything your kids need to grow colorful, stinky colonies of household germs—as if kids need help growing germs—from bacteria to molds and maybe even a fungus or two. (Don't worry, you can kill them when you're finished. The microbes, not your kids.) Order by December 3rd for guaranteed Christmas delivery

The MAKE Junior Microscope Set is the perfect gift for kids age 7 through 14 who want to learn more about science and the world around them. Don't mistake this set for one of those cheap toy microscope sets you find at the mall. Kids can do real science with this set, everything from their first close-up examinations of leaf structures, insects, pond life, fibers, and other tiny items to preparing whole mount slides, section slides, and smear slides, to growing and observing their own microorganism cultures, to putting together killer science fair projects. And, although this set is best suited for elementary and junior high/middle school students, in a pinch it can serve all the way through high school.

Order by December 3rd for guaranteed Christmas delivery

We put this set together especially for kids in middle school through high school (age 11 - 18) who want to learn more about science and explore the microscopic world around them. This set is an excellent choice for home school students and public school students who need more “microscope time” than they get on shared equipment during school hours. It's also an excellent choice for parents who want to buy one microscope that can be used from elementary school all the way through introductory high school biology courses. (For students who will take advanced high school biology courses that require a 1000X microscope, we recommend our Advanced Microscope Set.) Yeah, this set gives your kids a big advantage against the other kids in their science classes. But they're your kids.
