This is a fun and useful kit geared towards those looking to pick up on a bit of basic soldering as well as learning the fundamentals of microcontrollers. Build time is relatively minimal.. it took me about 3 hours, and I consider myself fairly inexperienced. A seasoned kit-builder could probably knock it off in an hour. The PCB layout is somewhat cramped but you should be fine as long as you've got the proper tools and follow the online build instructions.
The only gripes I have are that the piezo element is a little unresponsive (it works better when tapped with a pencil or screwdriver as opposed to a finger) and the pushbutton switches don't alter the pitch of the click, as was advertised. These are minor issues at worst, and troubleshooting them is going to be an interesting exercise in itself.
It's also worth noting that the actual kit you get is a newer revision than the one listed on here.. the PCB and components are slightly different.
All in all: great kit!
