After watching Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium my wife spontaniously decided she wanted a sock monkey. This kit certainly made it easy to learn how to make one or five as I have. My wife started buying me the funkiest socks. From there I've gone on to make a sock lemur (which could be just a long tailed monkey) an elephant  and a pink easter bunny. Most of which I designed on my own. In the future I'm thinking sock Giraffe. this kit is excellent for building skills such as following instructions/patterns,  hand sewing, problem solving and design.
