I've bought four of these!
This set consists of the Hex Pummer, a laser-cut cardstock lantern, and two extra-bright replacement LEDs. The lanterns come in many models, and you don't really get a choice. I ended up with two "MAKE" models, and one nifty Halloween model.
I actually ruined the first one, by soldering in the IC backwards. Entirely my fault. I might try repairing it, but I need to get a replacement IC.
The other three work great. It takes about an hour to complete the soldering. Maybe another fifteen minutes to assemble the lanterns.
The batteries charge in a few hours, and the flashing can last for a day or more, although it's only really bright for the first six hours or so. It's a trippy little toy.
I glued shiny foil panels into the roof and one inside panel of each lantern; specifically, the side which has the solar panel taped outside. This seems to increase the flashyness.
