The instructions are terrible. The only picture is the one on this website and the hardware received doesn't look the same. So, if you follow the instructions in the order given, you have to take it apart again to reach a screw head that is blocked by the upper plate. Very annoying while trying to assemble with an eager 5yr old who bailed on me to play his DS. :(

Nice Robot Base

I used this as a robot base along with Adafruit's motor shield and an Arduino. The base here worked fine and the motors are perfectly good for this application. It does also come with a 5 AA battery holder. Easy to use. My only wish was that some of the holes were better placed for mounting the Arduino and it had an easy way to attach the battery back to the body.
