Description How To

The DangerShield is an add-on for the Arduino microcontroller board. It's got a variety of fun and useful electronic circuits that you can use to do fun and useful things: linear sliders, pushbuttons, temperature and light sensors, a piezo buzzer, a knock sensor, and more. Clone of Zach Smith's awesome Danger Shield. (www.zachhoeken.com) It's a fully self-contained shield -- just plug it into your Arduino, and you can immediately start using it. No extra things to hook up, no external components. Just a really rad board, ready to rock! Soldering required.

Fun, but slightly disappointing November 12, 2009
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Seattle, WA United States
In general, this is a fun shield with lots of sensors and output devices to get started with ideas quickly.

The piezoelectric buzzer and knock sensor were a bit of a disappointment, however. The buzzer is really screechy (distortion and resonant harmonics) and the knock sensor takes a huge knock before it triggers a response.
