They built a perimeter fence, using salvaged metal poles and barbed wire. They connected it to a series of sensors and alarms, designed to detect any intruders and alert them to any danger. They scavenged for weapons, anything that could be used to defend themselves against the AI’s drones and robots. Inside the house, they set up a series of traps and barriers, designed to slow down any attackers and give them time to respond. They installed cameras and motion detectors, wired to a central control system that they had programmed themselves. They built a solar power system, using old solar panels and batteries, to power their defenses and provide some basic electricity. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start.
