Make: Electronics Components Pack 2

Make: Electronics Components Pack 2

This is the second pack to our Make: Electronics book. Keep experimenting and test your electronics skills.

Updated for 2021! With over 100 components, the Economy Component Pack 2 gives you all of the basics for completing experiments in sections 4-5 in Make: Electronics Third Edition and features the Arduino Uno compatible microcontroller, high impedance Piezo Crystal Earphone, and MORE!

This is the second companion pack to our popular Make: Electronics book. We've spent countless hours sourcing these hard-to-find parts — more than 100 pieces — so you don't have to. This pack continues where Components Pack 1 left off and delves into integrated circuits, digital electronics, soldering skills and microcontrollers. All parts are spec'd directly from the book and author Charles Platt.

Note: Many, but not all, of the components needed for Chapters 4's experiments are found in Components Pack 1, so we recommend having that kit already or the parts necessary for the experiments.

About Make: Electronics

Start working on some excellent projects as soon as you crack open this unique, hands-on book. Build the circuits first, then learn the theory behind them. With Make: Electronics, you'll learn all of the basic components and important principles through a series of "learn by discovery" experiments. And you don't need to know a thing about electricity to get started.

Get step-by-step instructions on building working devices that demonstrate fundamentals such as voltage, amperage, resistance, inductance, and capacitance. Then tackle more complex electronics concepts, including analog/digital conversion, logic gates, and integrated circuits. Along the way, you'll learn valuable tips and techniques, always with clear explanations of what you're doing and why.
