The Atari Punk Console is a simple and fun sound generator. The original circuit was developed by Forrest M. Mims III. It was named the Atari Punk Console by Kaustic Machines, due to the similarity of the sounds it makes to an Atari 2600.

Please note: Enclosure not included. A Make project tin would make a perfect enclosure!

A lot of fun October 1, 2012

I'm VERY new and am teaching my self electronics. This is about the 3rd thing I've built so far and it was awesome. Easy build and clear instructions. The only snag I have is that the headphone jack pictured is not what came with the kit. The pictured jack has 2 lugs and that's what the instructions have, but I received a 3 lug jack that I cannot figure out how to get it to work. I hear sound thru the headphones, but also the speaker. Other than my failings, this is a wonderful kit!
