Product #: MKSP21

The Arduino GSM Shield allows your Arduino to wirelessly connect to the internet, make/receive voice calls and send/receive SMS messages over a GSM cellular network! Make projects that connect far beyond the range of Xbee, Wifi, and the longest Ethernet cable. Perfect for tracking, remote sensing, emergency beacons, etc! The well written GSM library makes using the onboard Quectel G10 radio modem a snap. The shield uses only 3 pins, two for data (TX and RX), and one for power, leaving the others available for your project. The shield can use pay-as-you-go SIM cards (not included) so you can avoid monthly contracts and activation fees. The shield requires an R3 Arduino Uno or Leonardo using the 1.0 pinout.
