From what I can tell, if you washed up on a desert island with this kit, a knife, and a car battery (for running the LiPo charger), you could be flying within a few hours.
4/5 Stars: kit looks comprehensive, but price is too high.

I'd like to know what's included with this kit and what I'd need to purchase separately in order to build and fly this project.

I liked the article, but the kit sold me.
It is different from the article, so go on-line and sync up.
The build was enjoyable, took the better part of a day.
It is fairly complete but lacks a 12V brick for using the battery charger in your house and deserves a "companion kit" with another battery, airframe, and more propellers.
I have never flown RC airplanes before and need more practice in a simulator.
It should come with two airframes. Fanfold doesn't come in small packages.
The deck so far seems unharmed. The battery, took much of the punishment over two sessions.
When you build something like this from insulation and tape, you feel empowered to repair, and enhance the thing.
I would definitely recommend this. I enjoyed building it, and I enjoyed crashing it. Soon I hope to enjoy flying it!
