The new, improved PowerSwitch Tail II functions the same as the original. It sill lets you safely control a device plugged into a 120vac outlet using almost any microcontroller; But the improvements make it even better! The new model switches up to 15 amps of current (50% more than the original) using a 3-12 vdc (3-30ma) control signal, meaning no more driver circuits! Just plug one wire into ground, the other to a digital pin and you can control the PSTII as easy as you would blink an LED. You can also control multiple PSTII's from one pin! Use of an opto-isolator ensures no stray voltage can cross over to your microcontroller or computer.
