Great kit, but doesn't work with most iPhone 3GS |

I got this kit as a EmComm charger for a Baofeng UV-3R hand held 144/440 ham radio. I saw that it also will charge an iPhone 3GS. I thought - Bonus! However, it will not charge most 3GS phones. There is a problem with the USB D+/D- lines and what Apple expects there. Check the MintyBoost forums before buying if you want to charge your 3GS.

Easy to make fun to use and comes in handy. I bought it so that I could charge my iPhone 3Gs at school but 2AAs can only charge it by 20% before it eat throughout the AAs. So I got a rechargeable battery, a charging circuit and a solar panel and it all works great for endless on the go charging! Like most kits here it's hackable and can be reinvented for every person!

This kit has to be one of the most useful things you could ever make - if you own anything that charges from USB this is a kit for you. See my review on the blog at: http://wp.me/pQmjR-15d
