Get tin snippers December 29, 2008
Reviewer: Reid Burger from Tempe, AZ United States
I tried cutting the tin with all sorts of things and at the end of the day, i messed it up pretty royally.  It all worked but the lid did not close all the way down.  I gave it to my mom as a present for her cell phone and mp3 player.

Great kit for beginner July 15, 2008
Reviewer: Joel from Kinston, NC United States
This was my second kit to build and it was a lot of fun. Unlike a lot of electronic kits I've seen elsewhere, this one is practical and can be used daily. It works great with my iPod Nano. The instructions were excellent. Great kit, and I learned a few things, too.

My first soldering project May 4, 2008
Reviewer: michael pechner from palo alto, CA United States
I touched a soldering iron for the first time today at the makers faire.   The kit worked great.

It went together easily.  It charged my archos 605 perfectly.

I built the kit and love it November 26, 2007
Reviewer: Michael Michael Motorcycle from Seattle, WA - United States
I was researching power supply designs when I came across the article for Minty Boost, and fell in love with the design of both the circuit and the packaging. I built one, and it worked great, so my son asked me to build one for him too. Mine is Cinnamon, and his is Cherry. ;)

I bought this in kit form for convenience. The kit is easy to build if you can solder.

I did cut the included double-stick tape a bit to adjust placement, and assure I did not get a short circuit to the container.

I would like to see this as a Pass-Thru device, perhaps with a pig-tail due to size. This would allow me to use it with my external pocket hard drive on laptops which don't have the power output to spin up the driver properly on their own, as well as other device connections where powere is needed while the USB is in use.

Geek Rating: Very Cool. Great Geek-factor. Less filling, tastes (works) great!
