This projector is a fun toy, but it cannot take the place of a real projector. When I ran a real of Super 8 film through it, I noticed lines I had never seen when using my old Bell and Howell projector. Next, I ran a reel through the B&H. No lines. Then through the Gakken. Lines. Back through the B&H, and the lines were still present.
If you do not care if your film gets scratched, this is the projector for you. It is very small and light, and it uses an LED rather than an expensive projector bulb. For me, though, the scratches out weigh the benefits.
