A hula hoop on its own is a pretty good time and decent exercise. Add a few colored LEDs and you have yourself a party hoop! Light up hoops are used by dancers, performers, entertainers, or just for fun. They are popular at festivals like Burning Man and at some dance clubs around the world. LED hoops purchased fully assembled can cost anywhere from $100 to $300. As shown in Craft magazine Vol 6, with the right parts you can make your very own LED Hula Hoop at a fraction of the cost.
