Build a robot car while learning how it works! The DC Motor Car Kit is a hands-on STEM robotics kit that teaches how cars are built and powered using a DC gear motor, batteries, lights and other mechanical parts.

Builders (Ages 13+) follow our online video lessons to build a car, wire a simple circuit to turn on the motor, then create a series circuit to double the speed.

Next, create a parallel circuit on a breadboard to add working headlights.

Finally, the project is completed by installing a switch to turn the robot car on and off.

This project teaches foundational concepts including:

  • Car mechanics
  • DC motor theory
  • Series vs. parallel circuits
  • Breadboarding
  • Polarity (+/-)
  • Switches

Perfect for homeschool STEM curriculum, classrooms, makerspaces, and robotics clubs.

Batteries included!
